The Physiology Minor

The physiology minor requires a minimum of 20 units. It is important to note that the prerequisites for each PSIO course listed for the minor must be completed before taking that course.

Students selecting the physiology minor must earn a grade of “C” or better in PSIO 201 and PSIO 202 (Human Anatomy & Physiology I and II) before taking upper-division PSIO courses.

Minor GPA: 2.000 minimum.              

     1) 9 upper division units are required for this minor.     

     2) Core Courses - select 4 courses.                                                 

        SELECT FROM (for the 4 Core Courses):

            PSIO 201 and  PSIO 202;

            *PSIO 303A or PSIO 303B;  

           **BIOC 384 or BIOC 385.                         

     3) Remaining units.                                          

        SELECT 2 COURSES FROM:

            PSIO 404, 411, 420, 425, 426. 431, 445, 450, 463,

            465, 467, 469, 472, 484, 485, 487, 489.     \


*PSIO 303A, PSIO 303B:

       Course Requisites CHEM 151, CHEM 152,

       Math 122B (Calc I), PSIO 201, PSIO 202

**BIOC 384, BIOC 385:

      Course Requisites MCB 181R and CHEM 241A
