Support Physiology at the UA!

The Department of Physiology at the University of Arizona is supported by funds from private philanthropy and government and institutional grants. While every source of funding is important, private philanthropic support is especially vital to the success of the department's research and teaching efforts.

The department is fortunate to have many friends who care. Our supporters, many of whom are alumni, feel passionately about the research we do in areas such as sleep apnea, diabetes, neurological disorders, heart disease, and vision loss. Others want us to continue teaching physiology to under-represented groups who otherwise may never consider a career in science or the health professions. Private support allows us to recruit and retain top-notch faculty, encourage breakthrough research, and attract the best and brightest students.

There are many ways to make a gift, including endowment opportunities to support:

  • Student scholarships
  • Graduate fellowships
  • Faculty and research support
  • Programs and facilities

You also can show your support by telling friends and colleagues about the Department of Physiology. Consider letting your local high school know about the educational opportunities we offer. Even think about contacting your U.S. Senators, U.S. Congress Representatives and State Representatives to explain the need for expanded research funding for studies on the physiology of human disease.

Join our supporters by making a donation online through the secure link below to the University of Arizona Foundation. For more information about specific giving opportunities, please contact:
