Brian Pearse

Hi, I'm Brian M. Pearse and I advise students with last names starting with N-R!

Throughout my time in high school and college, I always had an unexplored interest in wanting to be of service to others. I spent time taking a variety of classes in very different degree/major programs and eventually felt at home realizing that the career goals I've longed for were those that were supporting me in my own academic and professional goals! What being an advisor means to me is being able to help students also find what grounds their purpose, passions, and motivations in getting there. Prior to this role, I worked as a Tutor Program Coordinator here at the UA and as a Resident Services Manager for a student complex in town. 

I am currently working towards my MEd in Educational Foundations at Northern Arizona University and am a former Wildcat coming from the College of Education. My Academic Advisor(s) at the College of Education helped me find my place and higher education and I too am grateful for being in those same shoes with our current students. 

Outside of my professional and academic responsibilities, I enjoy travelling (Flagstaff is on my list as I've never been to the campus before), reading, and wood staining (last major project was a dresser).
