Why I love being a PSIO student at the University of Arizona: I love PSIO at the U of A because of all of the professors. The professors I have had the pleasure of meeting have been incredible in being accessible, providing guidance, and fostering student growth outside the classroom in office hours or as a club advisor. Additionally, the faculty are a great opportunity for networking with research groups to be able to find what your passion in science is.
What I'm involved in outside the classroom: I am a member of the UAPhysiology Club, the Pre-Physician Assistant Honorary, Physiology Ambassadors, and Links Junior Honorary. I also work at an Urgent Care as a medical assistant and phlebotomist.
Future plans: I plan to apply to PA school my senior year! I will continue to work as an MA until then.
Ask me about: Clinical experience! I have been able to get over 1000 clinical hours and have lots of connections in clubs that offer pathways to experience!
