  • Why I love being a PSIO student at the University of Arizona: I love being a PSIO student here at the University of Arizona because there are so many wonderful resources to help you succeed in your courses. For instance, when I took PSIO 201 and 202, which were my first courses, I went to the study center very often. It was a place where I was able to get help from a Teaching Assistant one on one and the same models that I observed in my lab section were also in the study center. I've also made so many friends that have this major and gotten to hear about other medical fields that I wouldn't have necessarily heard about.

  • What I'm involved in outside of the classroom: Outside of the classroom, I am involved in the Physiology club and a Disney club! In the Physiology club, we hear from different guest speakers every meeting. We hear from doctors, physician assistants, athletic trainers, etc. and learn about their journeys to get to where they are now. I'm the treasurer of the Disney club, and we do activities like animation academy, pin trading, trivia, and others. It's a nice day to come and relax after a long hard day of coursework. I'm also an Athletic Training Technician at the McKale Center as this is where I help do treatments on athletes, work at sports events, and shadow Athletic Trainers.

  • Future plans: After undergrad, I plan to go to grad school to get a Master’s in Athletic Training. After that, I hope to work for a D1 collegiate sports team or maybe even one at the professional level.

  • Ask me about: My Athletic Training Technician position at the McKale Center, dorm life, study spots on campus, SALT center (has great resources for those with learning differences), tutoring services, and my favorite restaurants in Tucson.
