  • Why I love being a PSIO student at the University of Arizona: Becoming a Physiology major has been one of the best decisions I've made. The program has challenged me, supported me, and taught me how to work my hardest to achieve my goals. This major has been a perfect fit for my interests and my learning style; I am better at memorization and reading than math or chemistry, and the physiology major has highlighted this strength while offering many resources to help overcome my weaker areas.
  • What I'm involved in outside of the classroom: Outside of class I'm involved in research at the College of Nursing and preceptoring for PSIO 201 labs. Off campus, I love to cook and bake for my family and friends, play with my dog, and go on hikes around Tucson.
  • Future plans: Upon graduation, I hope to be accepted into a master's program with the Physiology department. I want to apply the knowledge I've gained from my undergraduate classes to research, especially in the field of genetic diseases and cancer. After completing my master's, I plan to apply to medical school, as my ultimate goal is to become a doctor.
  • Ask me about: Great places to hike around Tucson, best study spots on campus, and research opportunities on campus.
