Research Interests
We have long-standing interests in lung epithelial biology and its contribution to lung health. These interests have included wound healing, lung cell differentiation, host-pathogen interactions and contributions to asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. While we still work in broad fields associated with lung epithelial cell physiology, our current work is largely focused on the development of antagonists to the G protein-coupled receptor, protease-activated receptor-2 (PAR2) as treatments for asthma and/or pain.
