Brian Pearse earns a pair of advising awards
Pearse received recognition from the University of Arizona and NACADA
Congratulations to Brian Pearse, who was recently awarded the Excellence in Advising – New Advisor award through the University of Arizona Advising Resource Center, which is awarded to one academic advisor each academic year. The New Advisor award is given to someone who has been an advisor for three years or fewer, as Pearce joined the department in 2021. The Department of Physiology is very proud that he was recognized for all his hard work. Additionally, earning the campus award means that he qualified to be nominated for the NACADA regional award.
Pearse was then selected as the winner of the NACADA Region 10 Excellence in Advising – New Advisor! Being recognized as the regional winner is an incredible honor. The review committee is comprised of highly respected professional advisors and advising leaders who volunteer their time with NACADA to look over these submissions, and they selected Pearse as the winner out of all the other applicants from Region 10, which is comprised of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.
