The University of Arizona's College of Medicine-Tucson Department of Physiology presents the Seminars in Translational and Advanced Research (STAR) series, hosting Dr. Andy Fuglevand, Professor, Department of Physiology at the University of Arizona.

Dr. Fuglevand has a long-standing interest in understanding how the nervous system orchestrates the activities of multiple muscles in the elaboration of movement.  He uses various neurophysiological approaches (recording, stimulation, inactivation) in his work and also uses computer simulation. Dr. Fuglevand completed his undergraduate degree at Montana State University, his master’s degree at the University of Washington, and doctoral studies at the University of Waterloo (Canada).  He carried out post-doctoral training at the University of Arizona and at the John B. Pierce Laboratory (Yale University).  Dr. Fuglevand joined the faculty of the Department of Physiology in Tucson in 1997.

Join us in-person at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025 in Arizona Health Sciences Center, Room 8403.

The lecture will also be available via Zoom.
