My Journey with the Physiology and Medical Sciences Program

My journey through the Physiology and Medical Sciences program has been an amazing experience. When I started at the University of Arizona, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in medicine, but I wasn't sure exactly what that path would look like. Throughout my time in the program, my classes and experiences have helped me build a strong foundation while also confirming that this is the field I want to be in. The PSIO classes I have taken have helped me discover which body systems I enjoy learning about the most, as well as which fields of medicine interest me.

One of the things I appreciate most about the PSIO program is the sense of community. The professors, advisors, and other students have always been willing to answer questions, offer advice, and encourage me to get involved. Because of their support, I have had the opportunity to step outside of the classroom, meet new people, and continue growing both as a student and as a person.

Academic & Career Goals

After completing my undergraduate studies, my goal is to attend medical school and become a physician. I am currently interested in Ophthalmology, anesthesiology, and Emergency Medicine.
